Commonly known as SS Politehnica
[edit]@8Dodo8: Are there any sources for this? The club was initially touted as SS Politehnica, but has since been known as ASU Politehnica. Actually ACS ASU Politehnica, as per the RFF website: http://www.frf.ro/public/images/uploads/images/ASU%20Poli.pdf.

- @84.232.224.217: You are right, the media unanimously refers to them as ASU Politehnica. But the club\s website says they are named SS Politehnica.8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 10:19, 29 June 2017 (UTC)

SS Politehnica Timișoara → ASU Politehnica Timișoara – As per 84.232.224.217's suggestion; the club changed its name to ASU Politehnica Timișoara sometime after being founded as SS Politehnica Timișoara.[1] This move is necessary as there are 3 clubs from Timisoara known as Politehnica or Poli. The original FC Polithenica dissapeared and the other two entities were created 8Dodo8 (talk · contribs) 15:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. —usernamekiran(talk) 06:12, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Club history
[edit]Shouldn't the original page of FC Politehnica Timișoara be considered to active club's one? It seems like it never disappeared was just rebranded first ACS Poli Timișoara. This page seems to get it wrong though because when AS Recaș moved to Timisoara, AS Recas ledt behind all his trophies and history, and ACS is basically just a refoundation of FC Politehnica. Now for SSU Polithenica I would say that since 2021 the original club can be considered dead, and the original FC Politehnica just had it's second refoundation. So I would say: AS Recas died in 2012 (it seems it got refounded since), FC Politehnica never disapeared but became ACS Poli in 2012, later refounded to ASU Politehnica in 2021. ASU Politehnica 2012-2021. In that way AS Recas keeps it's records until 2012 seperate, And ASU Politehnica also from 2012-2021. Caramelia14 (talk) 05:18, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
- FC Poli Timișoara never became ACS Poli (Recaș). They were just using the name of Politehnica Timișoara. [2] The history of this club is kind of complicated, as they already had multiple merges and renames such as Poli AEK Timișoara and FC Timișoara. IMO, there should be only 2 articles: Merge of FC Poli & SSU Poli and a separate article of ACS Poli. Cezxmer (talk) 20:42, 13 February 2025 (UTC)
