I have never heard of Alter Bridge before. Black Bird came up when I was scrolling down looking through the music. I was totally astonished and amazed at the pure emotion that the music combined with the lyrics creates! I stayed up the rest of the night listening to all the songs they have released as a group and individually. Shared songs with everyone I know, so they to can be touched by the musical talent of these artists! Words cannot truly express how grateful I am that they have chosen to share their musical gifts with the world! I hope that they continue to enrich our hearts and minds with their music for years and generations to come!

If I could retroactively pick one song from one concert by any band to witness in person, it would be this one. It cuts so deep. The heavy transition, Myles crushing the vocals, Mark’s solo (maybe my favorite of all time) and every other detail gives me goosebumps every single time. Absolutely incredible.

Proabably one of the very few true vocalists in rock. That's evident when you hear him sing live. Unlike most rock/metal bands that have guitarists who can sing, and so can't sing well on stage, kennedy is a beast on stage!!
+Adam Knight Myles and Mark did a guitar battle later on in England and Myles was playing stuff and Mark had no clue what to do. So that tells you who the better guitarist is. Ryan Daly lol. Slash? Haha. Myles can play circles around Slash all day. He was a lead guitarist for 3 bands before Ab. He's professionally trained and won a guitar competition when he was 18. Slash plays the same boring scales each time. Also, Myles was a guitar tutor himself.
This is just majestic, easily of the best songs I’ve ever heard. On paper, you’d think Alter Bridge wouldn’t be all they're cracked up to be, but they are the best band of the last ten years if you ask me (although if I give it more serious consideration there may be others worthy of that position) but it doesn’t matter, this gives me goose bumps like no other song of the last decade.
Thrice could also give Alter Bridge a run for its money. Very different style but goddamn they are painfully underrated. Words in the Water is one of my fav songs, also love Hurricane

The studio version of guitar solos more often than not will sound a bit different when played live, not Tremonti's solos though, they just fuckin don't. What a god.

Ryan Daly lol. Slash? Haha. Myles can play circles around Slash all day. He was a lead guitarist for 3 bands before Ab. He's professionally trained and won a guitar competition when he was 18. Slash plays the same boring scales each time. Also, Myles was a guitar tutor himself.
I know of no better current group--- the very best vocalist and singer. We just saw them in our hometown, Johnstown, PA

This is just majestic, easily of the best songs I’ve ever heard. On paper, you’d think Alter Bridge wouldn’t be all they're cracked up to be, but they are the best band of the last ten years if you ask me (although if I give it more serious consideration there may be others worthy of that position) but it doesn’t matter, this gives me goose bumps like no other song of the last decade.
Totally agree, only a few other Alter Bridge songs could possibly outrank Blackbird. It has pure music quality, lyrics, and skill (two guitar soloes!)

Thrice could also give Alter Bridge a run for its money. Very different style but goddamn they are painfully underrated. Words in the Water is one of my fav songs, also love Hurricane
Them being the best band is a bold statement. But everyone has opinions. This just another one of those. Like I have the opinion that buckethead is the most genius guitarist of all time or that trivium and a7x are the best bands. And I respect your opinion and hope you do too.
Myles is such a humble person, if Tremonti never caught him practicing guitar, we will never hear such a masterpiece like this....
The studio version of guitar solos more often than not will sound a bit different when played live, not Tremonti's solos though, they just fuckin don't. What a god.
Tom Barnes yeah I love that. I can definitely appreciate a little spontaneity onstage (a jam session is always fun to watch) but hearing the guitarist nail the solo perfect is just so awesome
